The EMS Student Council's Operation Christmas was a huge success this year AGAIN!  With staff, student, and community support, the StuCo was able to raise over $3,000 for needy families in our community.  And because they surpassed their goal, five of our staff members volunteered this morning to have a pie thrown in their face! 

We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and restful holiday break!

Best of luck to our 8th Grade Girl's Basketball Team as they travel to Warrensburg-Latham High School tonight to compete in the State Semi-Final game at 7:30 against Quincy Blessed Sacrament.

Lego League Finishes Well at the Regional Tournament

Congratulations to all 3 of our Lego League Teams for their fine showing at the Regional Tournament this past weekend.  The Perpetual Hornets and the Scribble Monsters finished in the top 50% in Table Performance.  The Digital Hornets were given the Judges Choice Award Trophy, and the Scribble Monsters received the Core Values Award Trophy.  The Scribble Monsters were one of the top 3 teams overall and  advanced to the State level.  They will compete at the State Tournament in January in Champaign.

Lady Hornets Heading to State

Congratulations to the 8th Grade Girl's Basketball Team for their Sectional Championship win over Illini Bluffs on Wednesday night.  The ladies will travel to Warrensburg-Latham High School this Saturday and play at 2:30 p.m.

8th Grade Girls Basketball Wins Regional

Great job, 8th Grade Lady Hornets, on your victory at last week's Regional Championship game.

Merry Christmas from EMS Student Council

Thanks to our PTO for the new EMS Christmas Tree!  Our Student Council members put up and decorated our new tree this week!

7th Grade Lady Hornets Take Regional Title

Congratulations to our 7th Grade Lady Hornets on their win at the Regional Championship Game.

The ladies go on to play Illini Bluffs this Wednesday for the Sectional Title.

The EMS 7th and 8th grade Photoshop Class took a trip to the Apostolic Christian Nursing Home on November 25.  The students took Thanksgiving cards to share and also spent time with residents doing crafts, playing games, and sharing.

The EMS Student Council attended a leadership workshop in Pittsfield, Illinois, on Friday, November 22nd.
