EMS is fortunate enough to have 3 Lego League teams this fall. All of the teams have been working hard with this year's theme of "Senior Solutions" to create a science project and build a robot that performs certain tasks. On Saturday, Dec. 8, our teams (the Digital Hornets, the Robotic Hunters, and the Scribble Monsters) competed in the Central Illinois regional tournament at Bradley University. A total of 47 teams competed and EMS won several awards. The Digital Hornets (under Coach Grichnik) won a trophy for having the best robot design in their division and the Scribble Monsters (under Coach Terry) were awarded a trophy for having the best project in their division. Most exciting of all was the announcement that the Scribble Monsters were one of the top teams in the tournament and will advance to the state competition in January. Congratulations to all of our Lego League teams for a job well done!
