IMSA students recently visited the Illinois Math and Science Academy in Aurora, Illinois, for a math day program. They started the day with problem solving/pattern finding activities with the head of the math department, and then did several activities discovering patterns with triangular numbers, square numbers, pentagonal numbers, etc. The students did a fabulous job of discovering patterns and figuring out the puzzle. After the math activity, the students had a question/answer session with three seniors from IMSA. Students asked questions about applying to IMSA, academics, student life, and activities available at IMSA.
